Book online or walk in during opening hours. We see both planned and walk-in patients. Not sure if you are eligible? Come in anyway and we will tell you.
Before your jab, our pharmacist runs through a short health check. We ask about your medications, any allergies, and your vaccination history. This takes a few minutes and makes sure everything is right before we proceed.
The vaccination itself takes seconds. We ask you to stay briefly afterwards so we can check you are fine, then send you on your way with aftercare advice.
No booking. No waiting list. Just turn up. We offer walk-in flu and COVID vaccinations in Southampton. Come in before work, on your lunch break, or whenever works for you.
We cover your health check, give you the vaccination, and you are on your way. We do not rush you, but we do not keep you waiting either.
Whether you are eligible for a free NHS vaccination or looking for private cover this winter, both options are available at Kingsland Pharmacy in Southampton. We will confirm which applies to you during your health check.
Every vaccination is given by a trained, GPhC-registered pharmacy vaccinator. Our team follows current NHS England and JCVI guidance for the 2025/26 season, so you are in safe, qualified hands.
We are easy to get to and serve patients from across Southampton including Shirley, Portswood, Bitterne, Highfield, Bassett, Swaythling, Woolston, and Hedge End. Walk in or book online.
Flu and COVID can hit harder than people expect. Getting vaccinated before winter is the most practical thing you can do.
Frontline health and social care workers are eligible for the NHS flu vaccine but not the NHS COVID programme this season. Private COVID vaccination is available at Kingsland Pharmacy for anyone not in an eligible group.
Children aged 2 to 17 are offered the nasal spray flu vaccine each year. If your child missed their school vaccination, get in touch and we will help. Children aged 2 to 3 in the NHS programme are typically vaccinated through their GP practice. Contact us to confirm whether this service is available at Kingsland Pharmacy this season.
Important for parents: Avoid giving your child aspirin for 4 weeks after the nasal spray vaccine due to a rare risk of Reye’s syndrome. If your child lives with or is in close contact with a severely immunocompromised person, let our pharmacist know before vaccination.

It is free on the NHS for eligible groups. These include adults aged 65 and over, pregnant women, people with certain long-term conditions, unpaid carers, and eligible frontline social care workers. If you do not qualify for an NHS vaccine, our private flu jab is available at a clear fixed price.
Yes, if you’re over 65, pregnant, a healthcare worker, or have chronic conditions like diabetes, asthma, heart disease, or weakened immunity. Children aged 2-17 are also eligible. If you don’t qualify for NHS services, we offer private flu jabs for £25.
Between September and November each year, before flu season peaks. If you miss that window, vaccination later in winter still offers protection. We run the service throughout the season.
Both NHS and private flu vaccines target the same seasonal flu strains. The specific vaccine formulation offered depends on your age and health status. Our pharmacist will ensure you receive the most appropriate vaccine for you.
