Nominate Kingsland Pharmacy as your preferred pharmacy through the NHS App, your GP practice, or by asking us in the pharmacy.
Once your GP approves the prescription, we receive it electronically and prepare your medication. We check everything carefully before it is ready for you.
Pick up your medication from our Southampton pharmacy at a time that suits you, or let us deliver it to your door. Our delivery service is free and available to patients across Southampton and nearby areas.
If you take regular medication, our repeat prescription service takes the hassle out of reordering. You can request your repeat prescription online, by phone, or in person. Once your GP approves it, we prepare your medication and have it ready to collect. We can also deliver to your home if you prefer. We will keep track of when your medication is due so you never run out.
Private prescriptions are written by private doctors, dentists, or specialists. They are dispensed at a different cost to NHS prescriptions. We accept private prescriptions at Kingsland Pharmacy and will dispense them quickly and accurately. If you have a question about the cost of a private prescription before you come in, call us and we will give you a clear answer.
If you’ve run out of your prescription medicine and can’t reach your GP, our pharmacist may be able to provide an emergency supply to keep you covered. Not all medicines can be supplied this way, as controlled drugs and some others are excluded by law. Our pharmacist will quickly assess your situation and, if an emergency supply isn’t possible, will direct you to the right service straight away.
The NHS Electronic Prescription Service means your GP can send your prescription directly to us, with no paper involved. It is faster, simpler, and more reliable than paper prescriptions. Once you nominate Kingsland Pharmacy as your preferred pharmacy, your prescriptions arrive with us automatically each time your GP issues them.
You can request your repeat prescription online through the NHS App, your GP practice website, or by calling us directly. We will liaise with your GP on your behalf and have your medication ready as quickly as possible. Most repeat prescriptions are ready within two working days.
When you start a new medication, our pharmacist will take the time to explain what it is for, how to take it, and what side effects to watch out for. This is called the New Medicines Service and it is free on the NHS. It helps you get the most from your treatment and reduces the chance of problems early on.
