You can book online or visit the pharmacy for same-day appointments. If your travel date is near, please reach out early, as some vaccines need time to take effect.
Our travel health specialists review your destination, itinerary, activities, and medical history to identify health risks specific to your journey and recommend the appropriate protection.
You'll receive a tailored schedule aligned with your travel dates, covering all required vaccines, malaria prevention, and official documentation. All sorted in one place.
Hepatitis A spreads through contaminated food and water, while Hepatitis B spreads through blood and bodily fluids. Both infections are common risks across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. We provide individual and combined vaccines to offer effective protection with fewer injections.
Malaria is a serious disease spread by mosquitoes in tropical areas. If you travel there, our pharmacist will assess your trip and health to provide preventive medicine (£100–£200) and advice on its use, side effects, and mosquito bite prevention.
Yellow fever vaccine requires careful risk assessment, particularly for travellers aged 60 and over or those with certain medical conditions. Your pharmacist will review your suitability before administration. As an authorised yellow fever vaccination centre in Southampton, we administer the vaccine and issue your International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP) on the same day.
Spread through contaminated food and water, typhoid is a significant risk across South Asia, sub-Saharan Africa, and Latin America. We offer both the injectable typhoid vaccine (TYPHIM Vi®) and oral capsule (Vivotif®). Revaccination for both options is recommended every three years for individuals who remain at risk.
Recommended for high-risk areas and humanitarian travel. The oral cholera vaccine (Dukoral®) is given as two doses for adults and children over 6, and three doses for children aged 2–6. It also provides some protection against travellers diarrhoea.
A serious mosquito-borne infection affects the brain and is found in rural Asia. The risk is low for short city visits but higher for travelers spending long time outdoors in farming areas. Two doses are needed. Suitable for travellers from 2 months of age following pharmacist assessment.
Spread by infected ticks in forested areas across Central and Eastern Europe and parts of Asia. Recommended for hikers, campers, and cyclists. An accelerated schedule is available for last-minute travellers.
Mandatory for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims and strongly recommended for travel to the “meningitis belt” of sub-Saharan Africa. A single injection provides protection against four bacterial strains (A, C, W, Y).
Meningitis B is the type of bacterial meningitis seen most often in the UK. Particularly relevant for young adults and students travelling abroad for extended periods. Two doses are required in most cases. An accelerated three-dose schedule is available for those who need faster protection.
Present in over 150 countries, and is almost always fatal once symptoms develop. The standard pre-exposure rabies course consists of three doses, typically given on days 0, 7 and 28. Shorter schedules are available where travel is imminent, your pharmacist will advise the most appropriate option.
Travel provides a good opportunity to update routine vaccinations. We review your vaccination history and advise on any boosters required, including tetanus, measles, and polio, before departure. Contact us to confirm availability of specific routine vaccinations.
These are available for travellers with specific risk factors, including those visiting high-risk regions, working in healthcare abroad, or spending long periods in lower-income countries. A pharmacist assessment is carried out prior to administration.
Different places need different vaccines, and some trips may need more than one dose for full protection. Vaccines like hepatitis, typhoid, rabies, and Japanese encephalitis are often suggested based on your destination and trip length.
Yellow fever vaccination is required for entry into certain countries, particularly in parts of Africa and South America. Many countries require an official International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (ICVP) as proof of vaccination before allowing entry.
Staying healthy while travelling involves more than vaccinations. Factors such as food and water safety, insect bites, climate conditions, and travel activities can all affect your health during a trip.
Every country carries different health risks, and the vaccines you need depend on where you’re going, what you’ll be doing, and how long you’ll be there.
Not everyone travels the same way, and not everyone needs the same protection. We specialise in tailoring travel health advice to your specific circumstances.
Children need age-appropriate vaccines on a schedule that works before departure. We manage timing carefully, handle needle anxiety with patience, and give parents clear guidance on food safety and insect protection throughout the trip.
Some antimalarials are not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Your pharmacist will identify appropriate options based on your individual circumstances and destination, so you can travel without cancelling your plans or compromising your safety.
Age, existing conditions, and current medications all affect which vaccines are suitable and how well they work. We take the time to review your full health profile before making any recommendations, so you can travel confidently at every stage of life.
A weakened immune system means live vaccines may not be suitable. We identify safe alternatives, assess destination-specific risks honestly, and coordinate with your existing care team where needed – because careful preparation means travel is still possible.
Remote jungles, high-altitude terrain, and off-grid expeditions demand the most comprehensive protection. We build vaccination plans covering vaccines often missed in standard consultations – including rabies, Japanese encephalitis, and region-specific risks for long-haul trips.
